Deborah has excellent communication skills, having completed a masters in journalism which was accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).
She is a journalist, adept at getting complex and key messages across to wide ranging audiences, as well as having a good understanding of public discourse and news values. Deborah’s articles have been published in The Independent, Tribune, New Law Journal, Radical Economics and many other titles.
Deborah has taken part in debates on TV and radio about discrimination law.
In addition, Deborah has well-honed research skills and an eye to detail through her background as a lawyer. She specialised in discrimination law: researching cases; analysing complex information; and identifying key issues of relevance. Her work included drafting submissions to tribunals and courts, including the European Court of Justice.
She is the co-founder of Disability Politics UK and has a longstanding interest in politics and the charitable sector.
